How to use DueToDo

This guide explains DueToDo in simple steps. Use it to create reminders, speak reminders, get screen/voice/push alerts, repeat reminders, sync devices and share reminders with others.

1. Quick start

DueToDo helps you remember important things at the right time.

Open DueToDo and login or continue as a user.
Tap Create Reminder or the + Add button.
Enter the title, date, time and notification type.
Tap Save Reminder.
Keep DueToDo open for screen/voice alerts, or enable Push for background reminders.

2. How to create a reminder

Tap + Add on the Dashboard or Create Reminder.
In Reminder Title, type the main task, for example: Take medicine.
In Reminder Details, add extra information if needed.
Choose Reminder Date and Reminder Time.
Choose repeat, priority and notification type.
Tap Save Reminder.
Example: Title: Pay electricity bill, Date: Today, Time: 8:00 PM.

3. How to use Speak Reminder

Speak Reminder lets you speak your reminder instead of typing it.

Open Add Reminder.
Tap Speak Reminder.
Allow microphone permission if your phone/browser asks.
Speak clearly and naturally, for example: Call Raj tomorrow at 10 AM.
Tap Stop only after you finish speaking.
Check the title/details before saving.
If speech capture does not work on a phone, use the microphone button on your phone keyboard and dictate into the Reminder Details field.

4. Understanding notification types

Screen + VoiceShows a popup and speaks the reminder while DueToDo is open.
Screen OnlyShows only a popup on the screen while DueToDo is open.
Voice OnlySpeaks the reminder aloud while DueToDo is open and voice is enabled.
Push NotificationSends a browser/PWA push notification, useful when the app is not actively open.

5. How to enable Push Notifications

Open the Dashboard.
Find the Push Notifications panel.
Tap Enable Push.
Allow notifications when your browser asks.
Tap Test Push to confirm it works.
When creating a reminder, choose Push Notification as the notification type.
For best background push behavior on mobile, install DueToDo as a PWA/app and open it from the home screen.

6. How to install DueToDo like an app

On Android Chrome

Open DueToDo in Chrome.
Tap the Install button if visible.
Confirm the install prompt.
Open DueToDo from the phone home screen.

On iPhone

Open DueToDo in Safari.
Tap the Share icon in Safari.
Tap Add to Home Screen.
Tap Add.

7. How to manage reminders

CompleteUse when the task is done. The reminder moves to Completed.
SnoozeUse when you want DueToDo to remind you again after some time.
EditUse to change title, details, date, time, repeat, priority or alert type.
DeleteUse to remove a reminder you no longer need.

8. How repeat reminders work

Repeat reminders are useful for regular tasks.

DailyFor medicines, daily routines, exercise, prayers, calls or office checks.
WeeklyFor weekly reports, meetings, cleaning, payments or follow-ups.
MonthlyFor bills, rent, EMI, subscriptions, renewal and monthly reports.
NoneFor one-time reminders that do not repeat.
When you complete a repeating reminder, DueToDo creates the next reminder in the cycle.

9. How to sync PC and mobile

Open DueToDo on the device that already has your reminders.
Tap the Sync icon or Sync My Devices.
Generate or view your active sync code.
Open DueToDo on the second device.
Enter the sync code to join the same account/reminder list.
Keep your sync code private. Share it only with your own devices.

10. Sharing DueToDo and reminders

Share DueToDo

Use the Share icon in the header or the Share DueToDo button to send the app link to family, staff or friends.

Share Reminder

Use Share Reminder on a reminder card when you want someone else to add the same reminder to their DueToDo.

Example: Share a medicine reminder with a family member, or share an office follow-up reminder with a colleague.

11. Language selector

The globe icon lets you choose your app language preference. It also helps the voice/reminder workflow understand the language you are using.

Tap the globe icon in the header.
Choose the language you prefer.
Use the app normally. Some labels and guidance may appear in your selected language.

12. Troubleshooting

I did not get a voice alertTap Enable Voice on the Dashboard and keep DueToDo open for screen/voice reminders.
I did not get push notificationEnable Push, allow browser notifications, install the PWA, and use Push Notification type.
Speak Reminder did not captureAllow microphone permission, speak clearly, or use your phone keyboard mic into Details.
Mobile and PC reminders differUse Sync My Devices and make sure both devices are on the same DueToDo account/sync code.

Do I need to install DueToDo?

No, you can use it in the browser. Installing as a PWA gives a better app-like experience.

Can I use DueToDo for medicine reminders?

Yes. You can create daily or time-based reminders for medicines.

Can I use it for birthdays, payments and follow-ups?

Yes. DueToDo is useful for birthdays, bills, payments, calls, office tasks, family reminders and daily routines.

Can I share a reminder with someone?

Yes. Use Share Reminder on a reminder card. The receiver can add it to their own DueToDo.
